Anyhoo...I found Amber's inspiration on the CASE Study blog:

and decided to pair her colours with Lisa's sketch from the CAS(E) this Sketch! blog:
and came up with this:
What was the technique I woke up thinking about you ask? It was masking off this rectangle, using this script background stamp and applying colour over it on a single layer of cardstock. It took a few tries because first I tried it without embossing and didn't like the look - too pale, then I tried brayering the ink and that was too strong so lastly I tried clear embossing and sponging and that was just right...See you again soon - probably tomorrow morning with another idea (no blue crayon...no blue crayon...no blue crayon....).

Haha! Yes, I lie in bed in the morning thinking about cards and I lie awake at night thinking about cards! You're not alone :) Your card is beautiful too! That's a neat idea. I'll have to try it! So pretty!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sponging (love the depth) and the white die cut is so fresh - it just pops! Thanks so much for playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch!
ReplyDeleteThis card is absolutely GORGEOUS! And I love your interpretation of both inspiration pieces into this one fabulous one. Your sponging is great, and I love the die cut that you used and its placement. Thank you too for your kind comment on my blog.
