Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 100th Make It Monday Challenge this week! A big whopping congratulations!!! And speaking of big - the challenge this week is packaging cards with oversized embellishments *Ü*
I don't often make a card that has a big embellishment but when I do it's usually for someone I'll be seeing in person so I don't worry about packaging it. I'm thinkin' it'd be kinda nice to be able to make a big beautiful card that I could send to someone. That's why this week's MIM was so great! I loved watching Dawn McVey's video showing a ton of different ways to handle cards with a big somethin' somethin' on them like her idea for using a glassine bag to package the card. So pretty!! I'm also proud to be able to say, that I do have one little thing in common with Dawn, I too keep a stack of kraft paper bags to use as gift bags so I was super happy to see her idea of using a *big* embellished card as a tag!
Now without further ado...here's my take on that fantastic idea:
and going in for a close-up...
and one last one because I loved this card!
I used PTI's Harvest Berries stamp set for the background and the Tea for Two stamp set for the super cute tea pot and the sentiment.
I popped the tea pot up onto the rosette with some dimensional foam tape, and there was no way that was fittin' into any envelope...I also added a little Liquid Glass to the tea pot for a ceramic look. It's along the black and flowers on the tea pot and may be hard to see in the photos but is a really nice touch in person! While I was making this card I was trying to decide what to dress the sentiment up with and the little pearls kept winning out...Do pearls and tea just naturally go together? Does anyone else think this? Am I just getting old(er)??
Well I had a lot of fun with this challenge and am really looking forward to seeing what's up for their 101st challenge on Monday. Hey - enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Beautiful, love the stamped ginko leaf background, so elegant and classic.
