This month's challenge is to incorporate a black background in your project and just look at this inspiration photo!
I've been looking forward to this challenge since Nichole first mentioned on her blog. I think the look of black backgrounds can be so amazing and have been itchin' to give it a try! There are so many possibilities!
I just received a big order of Papertrey Ink stamps in the mail last week and really fell for the Tea for Two stamp set (see my other card for PTI's 100th MIM challenge here). I was stuck on the idea of using one of the tea pots and embossing it to look like a porcelain pot for this challenge...
This tea pot is one of 4 tea pot stamps in the set and was great for this because you can use a little colour to make the leaves pop on the black and white.
I just bought my first set of Prismacolor coloured pencils and wow are they nice on black paper! I'm still getting used to them and how much pressure to use but I know they'll become a staple in the repertoire.
