More homework!

We're now on Day 6 of class and our homework was to use one of the day's sketches as the jumping off point again. I had two inspirations when making this card! First off, I chose Kristina's sketch from class because I couldn't get her beautiful tone on tone card out of my mind...

I love the background stamp by Impression Obsession which I picked up after another of the Online Card Classes. It doesn't show in the photo but the white embossed background almost sparkles in the light. Pretty!!

I wanted to keep it soft so I vellumed (it's a word! look it up!) the sentiment and then added the popped up leafy branch for some interest. A few well-placed liquid pearls to hide the little glue spots holding on the vellum et voila!

My second inspiration comes from Laurie's card over at the Muse Card Club this week! Here's Laurie's card:

This inspiration is borrowed from her big overall background pattern, the kraft colour card base and the strip along the lower third of her card. It's a beaut Laurie!!

This is a pretty cool new challenge blog with a really neat concept:

 - Use the Muse card as inspiration, explain your interpretation and link back to Muse.
 - Provide supportive comments to at least 3 of your fellow member’s submissions.
 - Vote for 3 of your fellow member's submissions that you find inspiring.

Check it out - the voting is really fun!

  15. Oh how I love your card! This is gorgeous. I am super impressed with the impression obsession stamps - I have the cloud background stamp and it blows me away how realistic it looks. Your card's simplicity and softness creates a real feel of elegance. I might have to get that background stamp too!
